PANE: Programming with visible data

#1

Josh Horowitz recently presented + published info on his new programming environment project PANE. From the site:

PANE is a live, functional programming environment built around data-visibility. In PANE, all intermediate values are visible by default, and you construct a program by acting on these concrete values.

PANE is a research prototype. It was presented at LIVE 2018.

I find it pretty compelling as an exploration of “radical data visibility.”

ps: You might be familiar with some of Josh’s other projects, including Dynamicland and Apparatus too!
